The ACR’s Radiology Advocacy Network is excited to introduce its latest advocacy initiative, the RADVOCATE Leader Certificate. The RADVOCATE Leader Certificate is intended for ACR members interested in strengthening their understanding and expertise in critical components of advocacy. To complete the program, ACR members must earn 20 credits, within 2 years of registration, which can be earned by completing programs and/or criteria from all aspects of Government Relations: State, RADPAC, RAN, Regulatory, and Economics. Upon completion of the program, members will receive a digital signature certificate that can be added to their social media accounts and signature lines along with recognition at the ACR Annual Meeting.

As states start or have started their legislative sessions, we want to remind all ACR Chapters that the RAN is here to provide a myriad of resources and opportunities for involvement and support. These include but are not limited to:

  • Radvocacy website – a one-stop shop for all your advocacy needs.
  • Advocacy webinars – quarterly webinars on best practices and advocacy updates.
  • Quarterly Newsletter
  • Calls to Action – legislative alerts for both State and Federal advocacy.
    • If your state needs to garner support for a state issue or piece of legislation, we can support your efforts by creating a CTA that will go to your Chapter.
  • Site-Visits from Members of Congress
  • Social media engagement through @ACRRAN
  • Advocacy specific to your current practice or education level
    • Pre-Radiology RAN – medical Students
    • RFS RAN – residents and fellows
    • YPS RAN – members within their first 8 years of practice or below age 40 ”

If you are interested in getting involved through the RAN or in advocacy, please contact Melody Ballesteros, Assistant Director of Government Relations. If you are interested in registering for the RADVOCATE Leader Certificate please do so here.
