Committee Update
The Radiology Advocacy Network (RAN) has successfully launched a new initiative aimed at engaging trainees on their journey to radiology, specifically the Pre-Radiology section of the Radiology Advocacy Network (Pre-Radiology RAN). With the addition of inaugural regional representatives, Pre-Radiology RAN has significantly expanded its outreach and advocacy efforts. Over the last few months, these representatives have brought to light important regional issues, making invaluable contributions to RAN's mission.
In recent weeks, Pre-Radiology RAN has tackled a range of critical topics through its representative-led presentations, including scope of practice, Medicare cuts, gold carding, insurance coverage of colon cancer screenings, use of fluoroscopy, prior authorization exemption, as well as coverage for breast cancer follow-up. These presentations have proven to be instrumental in furthering RAN's advocacy efforts and promoting its commitment to addressing key issues impacting the field of radiology
