RADPAC Annual Gala Celebrates 25th Anniversary
RADPAC held its annual Gala at the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, D.C on April 16 during ACR 2024, the College's annual meeting. More than 200 contributors attended the event celebrating RADPAC's 25th Anniversary with a live painter, musical entertainment, and access to exhibitions showcasing work by established and emerging women artists from around the world.
Current RADPAC Chair Amy Patel, MD recognized previous RADPAC chairs and presented William T. Thorwarth Jr., MD, FACR, CEO of ACR with the RADPAC Achievement Award. Alan Matsumoto, MD, FACR, chair of the ACR Board of Chancellors presented Congressman Michael C. Burgess, MD with the ACR Congressional Award for Radiological Excellence (CARE Award) for the Congressman's tireless efforts to ensure physicians can provide quality, affordable healthcare to patients.
RADPAC Fundraising Success
During ACR 2024, RADPAC enjoyed a successful fundraising campaign with 204 radiologists contributing more than $59,900. Seventeen states reached 100% contribution participation from their councilors present at the annual meeting. RADPAC also recognized the state chapters that won their division in the March Radness Chapter Challenge (California, Iowa, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Virginia) as well as the chapters that won the Chapter Champions Cup for most contributors (California) and highest contribution percentage (Rhode Island) in 2023.
